Hailing from Atlanta, the 21 year old is somewhat of a mystery. What we do know is that he has some great taste in music, and my sources tell me he can really make some shit happen on the dancefloor. Inspired by artists such as Drop the Lime, Manare, and his fellow Nighstshifters Magnum and Canblaster; Talk is now touring around the country. He likes describe what he does as “Mixing genres and cultures with feeling and atmosphere.” So come and see what all the talk about Talk is at Blow Up!!

Alongside Le Castle Vania and the many other artists performing on June 12th is Finland’s Rico Tubbs! For the uninitiated Rico is a rising star!!! Voted the best electronic music dj and producer in Finland back to back in 2006 and 2007 he has been on a terror ever since… so we know the bartenders won’t be the only ones mixing something special for us… Rico is gunna mix up something fierce and get us all completely fucked up!

Rico will serve us a special serving of his now famous “Ricos Rave Juice.” ingredients include uk garage bass-lines, hip hop samples, cracking snares, baltimore breaks, fidget house, indie dance/electro, & dubstep… I hope my heart can take it!

Rico’s famous for his heavy tracks (mainly the killer tune ‘gangsters’) and received huge support from all the major players in bass-heavy music and beyond like switch, sinden, drop the lime, and crookers.

Coming all the way from Finland to get a little taste of Blow Up SF… let’s show Rico Tubbs how we get down in San Francisco!!!

Since the BLOW UP reunion, we’ve been on a journey exploring new territory for the party. With have a new venue, a few things have changed, in fact, some things just may have gotten better… and the idea and the attitude is still the same: FUN!

With BLOW UP gone and everyone having house party get togethers and such, Richie and I were talking and thought why not put together a mix of what we would be playing at BLOW UP right now if it were happening. Some classic late night tracks along with a few newer jams. So if you wanna recreate the night, put on your favorite jams, drink some vodka red bulls, get all fucked up… then once you’re all fucked up, drop this mix on your loudest soundsystem, turn it up as loud as it can go, and then just go bananas!!!

CLICK TO STEAL THE SET

From what I heard last weeks BLOW UP was absolutely ridiculous! According to BLOW UP photographer Storm Vincent there were “Hotties everywhere, and Dan Sena fucking brought that shit to the next level.” From what I see in his signature fisheye lens shots, I’m going to have to agree. I can’t wait to kick this pneumonia in the ass and come back to BLOW UP!
