Video from last year’s Halloween 2009 Party

Blow Up has a tradition to uphold, a tradition of throwing the crazy Halloween parties imaginable. Ghouls Gone Wild! We need your help to make this one the craziest party ever!!! In the past years, the parties have been so wild, crazy, sexy, over the top costumes that we had to limit the number of people who could enter; with all the amazing decorations and costumes and Halloween themed dance music… let’s just say things got a little out of hand.

This year we are going even bigger and will be decorating the entire club at Kelly’s Mission Rock! We are still finalizing themes for the decorations, but be prepared for awesomeness!

In addition to all the craziness we will be having a costume contest and the winner will win $100 cash money! More details will be coming soon.

Alongside Le Castle Vania and the many other artists performing on June 12th is Finland’s Rico Tubbs! For the uninitiated Rico is a rising star!!! Voted the best electronic music dj and producer in Finland back to back in 2006 and 2007 he has been on a terror ever since… so we know the bartenders won’t be the only ones mixing something special for us… Rico is gunna mix up something fierce and get us all completely fucked up!

Rico will serve us a special serving of his now famous “Ricos Rave Juice.” ingredients include uk garage bass-lines, hip hop samples, cracking snares, baltimore breaks, fidget house, indie dance/electro, & dubstep… I hope my heart can take it!

Rico’s famous for his heavy tracks (mainly the killer tune ‘gangsters’) and received huge support from all the major players in bass-heavy music and beyond like switch, sinden, drop the lime, and crookers.

Coming all the way from Finland to get a little taste of Blow Up SF… let’s show Rico Tubbs how we get down in San Francisco!!!

Since the BLOW UP reunion, we’ve been on a journey exploring new territory for the party. With have a new venue, a few things have changed, in fact, some things just may have gotten better… and the idea and the attitude is still the same: FUN!

I am SO excited! We JUST found out the gorgeous and talented Miss May Star is in town from San Diego. This is a party blessing for San Francisco because this girl knows how to go BIG. It’s been a few weeks since the last BLOW UP so we already knew that tonight is going to be hugely fun but now we’re going off the charts!

Bad Neighbors=Eli Glad + Alex Frederick

Blow up is back January 8th, 2010 (yeah, we are freaking out about writing 2010 too) with Bad Neighbors (bad as neighbors, good as friends, and great as djs) are going to be bringing Blow Up in the NEW YEAR.

We’ve missed you all and are super excited to finally be getting OUT OF THE COLD and INTO THE HEAT at Rickshaw Stop tomorrow. It feels like it’s been SO long and we’ve missed you all. Since it’s been a few weeks we know this night is going to be epic and oh so much fun.

Eli Glad and Alex Frederick (Bad Neighbors) are no strangers to our turntables or our dancefloor. These two have built quite the name for themselves individually and are now joining forces officially to create a DJ tag team force that SF has yet to see. Be SURE to be there to witness it all go down and rock out to the heat they are going to bring. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!
