Gil Mantera’s Party Dream played at BLOW UP last February on Friday the 13th… is this just a spooky coincidence? No, I think not.
This Friday, Blow Up will be filled with fear, a fear that Gil Mantera will rock us into our graves. It’s Friday the 13th, and we’re all freaked out. Only the brave and strong will temp the hands of fate and enter into the dark and desperate confines know as The Rickshaw Stop to witness the all powerful force that is GIL MANTERA’S PARTY DREAM!!!

Many disasters have taken place on Friday the 13th and have been blamed on unlucky superstitious beliefs. Many people still hesitate to invite bad luck on Friday the 13th by avoiding driving, eating out or hosting a party.
HAHAHA, not BLOW UP, not Jeffrey Paradise, not Ava Berlin, not Joe Bank$, not the cool people of the Bay Area! We will stop at nothing to get wild and crazy with our favorite Ohioans, Gil Mantera’s Party Dream.
This Friday the 13th, when the darkness falls, the cool air sweeps in, and the pounding music comes pulsing through the speakers… BLOW UP and Get Down… but enter at your own risk!!!
I am totally speechless! I love this video from beginning to end. Mont managed to capture the fun, joy, sweat, dancing and insanity that came along with the month of August for Blow Up. We had Treasure Fingers, DJ Vito from The Rapture, Designer Drugs, Richie Panic, Jeffrey Paradise and everyone, everyone, everyone having the time of their lives.
I’ve never been more proud to work (and play) with such an awesome group of people. Thank you to everyone. I wish I could be ore eloquent I’m just freakin’ excited to get this video up for you guys to see.
Lilofee was totally amazing at BLOW UP last Friday! SOOO much electricity that night- thank you to the band for ding such an incredible job- we were more than impressed and had a blast with you. And thanks to everyone that came out and sweated, and danced, and drank, and went home with someone new- we love you too!
Last Friday SPIN visited Blow Up and interviewed Wallpaper. before their show. It was a spectacular night, of course, and this video interview gives you some great footage from BLOW UP as well a little insight to the men behind the magic.
A couple of weeks ago C-Sand made a video for the Tenderlions he came back to do it again with Le Castle Vania and we can show you that this night was fucking phenomenal. Le Castle Vania was unbelievable and pretty much everyone took their clothes off. Jeffrey Paradise started the dancefloor the second the doors were open, Jess Jubilee was totally awesome and Le Castle Vania brought the room to climax- over and over. Thank you so much to everyone that made it so incredible.

Atlanta based and internationally famed, Le Castle Vania, commonly known as Dylan Eiland, quickly escaped the local trappings of his hometown in Georgia to play music around the world. Atlanta’s burgeoning music scene allowed him to develop his passion for music and nightlife, and he soon gained notoriety with his riotous DJ sets and penchant for production, which made him a household name in the dirty and distorted, indie-electro scene
Le Castle Vania has been on tour nonstop, taking his catchy electro dance beats on the road. He blurs the lines between cultures and cliques, from Mexico City to London with his own signatory sound.
He has DJed along side some of today’s hottest acts, such as Justice, MSTRKRFT, Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, Busy P, Uffie & Feadz, Kavinsky, Soulwax, Surkin, Para One, The Presets, Steve Aoki, Boys Noize, Cut Copy and Crystal Castles.
Dylan prides himself on more than simply pushing vinyl for the masses. He’s also an avid producer and engineer; when not on the road he’s locked in the studio writing tracks from scratch and remixing his favorite bands. The attention he received from his remix of “Black Eyes” by Indie darlings Snowden (Jade Tree Records), quickly put Dylan on the map, the track continues to rock dance floors worldwide.
His signature sound blends grinding disco punk with strong electronic beats and catchy synth leads, resulting in banging electro music that is dark and dirty but somehow equally uplifting and dancey. New mixes to check out include Tigertron, an original work off of his first non-remix release, “Troubletron EP,” and remixes of “Come Out” for 120 days (Vice Records) and “Bombs” for Scanners (Dim Mak Records), which have all received critical appraisal from the indie electro world.
