Stretch at BLOW UP last year
Here’s a little secret about the living legend of hip-hop, Stretch Armstrong…He hates…hates hates hip hop. Well, current hip hop that is! He likes to refer to it as “pop music.”

And that comes to no surprise considering all the hip-hop titans that he has helped break into the game. These titans being the Notorious B.I.G, Jay Z, Ol Dirty Bastard, Nas, Big L, and the Wu-Tang Clan! Along with countless others through out the 90’s.

The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show is responsible for the hip-hop icons that are known today, and was declared by Village Voice, “the best hip-hop show in New York.” To add to that, Source Magazine voted it “the best hip-hop show of ALL TIME.”

In the 2000’s Stretch began experimenting with hard thumping indie electro dance mixes. Till this day, his cutting-edge electro sets most definitely keep the crowds dancing. After working with the biggest names of the 90’s, he has now worked with the likes of Steve Aoki, Tittsworth, Junior Sanchez, and even the late DJ AM. Yes…Stretch Armstrong has done it all!!

The BEST of both worlds, past and present, will collide this weekend! The living legend of hip hop and yet modern marvel of indie electro will team up with the fabulous Jeffrey Paradise and Ava Berlin this weekend of February 12/13. Jeffrey and Ava will expose you to BOTH sides of the magnificent Dj Stretch Armstrong. On February 12th Stretch will set the dancefloor on fire with one of his explosive electro sets, and on the 13th he will blast us with the past dropping his master craft of 90’s hip hop sets at Club 1994.

An addition to the great guests to take us into 2010, Stretch will start off our new year like never before…

Girls get ready to let loose. Gather your friends. Pick out your Friday night outfit. Get glamorous. Get sexy. Prepare to dance, sweat, and get naughty. Remember…you’re partying at Blow Up…we don’t care what you do!!
